Oceania and Aragon: Nature, Culture and Good People

This is a tribute to all our guests from the distant Oceania that have come to our hotel and at the same time an invitation to those that are on their way to Europe to discover for the first time Spain, to stop by Aragon and its capital Zaragoza.

Oceania

A Greek origin couple from Australia came on business to learn about our regional vineyards loved the wine and olive oil from Aragon.

A Philippine writer (click here) that now lives in Australia and collaborates with our University, held a conference about the Philippines and visited the Aragon’s Pyrenees. She also did a research and published a travel article about our Festivals ” Fiestas del Pilar”, our traditional costumes, songs and popular culture.

A very young couple from Melbourne spent part of their honeymoon in Zaragoza, they were History teachers and were interested in our Roman, Medieval, Moorish ,Christian past and Goya birthplace.

A 50 year old couple from Sydney (click here) that was just looking for a one night place to rest on their way to Barcelona, finally stayed for two more days and loved our tapas and traditional food, to walk around or going shopping.

One family with two kids came on their Australian Summer vacation ( Winter here in Zaragoza) to explore Spain.

And many other anecdotes and curiosities that occur in a hotel that is open and gives hospitality to many people from all over the world .

And finally, we would like to say thank you to an anonymous guest that wrote some lines on the “New Zealand Herald” online news www.nzherald.co.nz recommending visiting Aragon, Zaragoza and Hotel Sauce.

Oceanía y Aragón: Naturaleza, Cultura y Buena Gente

Este es un tributo a todos nuestros clientes de Oceanía que han venido a nuestro hotel y que recomiendan a los que van a visitar España por primera vez, a realizar una parada en Aragón y en su capital, Zaragoza.

Una pareja procedente de Australia pero de origen griego, vino por negocios para aprender sobre nuestras viñas de la región, y les encantó tanto el vino como el aceite de oliva de Aragón.

Una escritora Filipina, que ahora vive en Australia y colabora con nuestra Universidad, dio una conferencia sobre las Islas Filipinas y visitó los Pirineos Aragoneses. También hizo un estudio y publicó un artículo de viaje sobre nuestras Fiestas del Pilar, nuestros trajes tradicionales, canciones y cultura popular.

Una joven pareja procedente de Melbourne pasó parte de su luna de miel en Zaragoza. Ambos son profesores de historia en su país y estaban interesados en nuestro pasado Románico, Medieval, Árabe, Cristiano y sobre el lugar de nacimiento de Goya.

Una pareja de 50 años procedente de Sydney que en principio sólo iba a permanecer con nosotros una noche para descansar y seguir su viaje en Barcelona, decidió quedarse dos días más. Les encantaron nuestras tapas, nuestra comida tradicional, pasear por la ciudad e ir de compras.

Una familia con dos niños vino durante sus vacaciones de verano (aquí era invierno) para explorar nuestro país.

Y muchas otras anécdotas y curiosidades que ocurren en un hotel como el nuestro, que está abierto y ofrece alojamiento a toda la gente procedente de cualquier parte del mundo.

Finalmente, nos gustaría agradecer al huésped anónimo que escribió algunas líneas en el periódico neocelandés “New Zealand Herald” www.nzherald.co.nz recomendando Aragón, Zaragoza y el Hotel Sauce.
